Yes it does, also, my insurance company gives me a discount on my insurance based on the fact that I have a working alarm system. Check with your insurance company as well. good luck |

As with anything, this is an option that is a great selling feature and certainly a hard wired one will give your value a boost. It's also a good tool to reduce your home insurance rates but you have to have a monitoring service and actually use it. I wouldn't have a home without one. |

As most monitoring companies install a basic system for free as long as you agree to a monthly monitoring free its not a huge selling feature. If its a higher end system with cameras etc then it would be a selling feature, |
