How can I stop my inactive home security system from randomly beeping?
We moved in a few months ago, and because we don't have a landline, the pre existing home security system is inactive. That hasn't been a problem until this week, when I tripped the smoke alarm ever since then, once a day, usually at a painfully early hour, it beeps until I type in the security code. Then it happens all over again the next morning. The control panel is in our closet and I suspect the solution to my problem lies there, but I'm not sure what wires to disconnect. Any ideas?

My parents got an Alarm system From APX its a wireless LYNX systembut in my house there are 3 doors and 6 windows to protect on the 1st floor and on the first floor they put in 3 door sensors and a motion detectorand on the 2nd floor just put a glass break sensor in one room and a glass break sensor in another roomwill this be enough protection?they are normal windows that slide up and down

So ive been looking for alarms to add to my home, but when i call they ask me for my information like where i live. and i do not want to give that out i just want prices. any ways online didn't really answer my question so im here. so my question is how much does it cost and what does it cover?. companies like adt brinks and any others ive seen that most cover 2 3 doors or windows what in the world i have 18 how much would it cost to protect all 18? would that be in the installation fee or would it also increase my monthly bill. the reason i want to cover everything is i live in a not so nice place and i have been burglarized before. i just peace of mind. another thing, around how much is the installation fee? the more windows and doors i have the higher the price it will be? what did you pay for and how many windows and doors did you protect ? thank you ahead of time

What's the point in home security if someone can just switch off your main power?
call me naive, but i always thought that a home security system would still be active by some backup power or something even if your main power supply was turned off. To my suprise my friends told me that this isnt the case, and that indeed someone could just rock up to your house, turn off your main power which will then disable your security system and then rob it. This shocked me as then what is the point of having a security system if someone can so easily bypass it???

Why didn't our home security system's glass break detector go off?
We recently got a security system installed in our house. Part of the system was the GE 5845 ID glass break detector. This morning a cat knocked off a glass off a table, it shattered, but the alarm didn't go off. The salesman said a glass shattering on the floor would trigger it do we have a bad sensor or does he just not know his product?
